music
i make music, basically. i wouldn't call myself a musician, as i dont think im anywhere close to being good enough for that, but over the years i've spent many hours fiddling about with synths and weird instruments. as a result, some of the stuff i've made can be very experimental and 'hit or miss' so i'd listen at your own risk.
- here you can find random one off songs or just bits and bobs i've made over the years.
the best of the bunch will be put on youtube sometime soon (maybe?) so they are more convient to listen to! [no spotify sorry]
projects & bands
i have worked on a couple projects, and i just thought it would be nice to document them. after all, every piece of music has purpose put into it, and sometimes its nice to appreciate that even if its shit. if you'd ever liked to hear any of the songs i made and cant find them on my bandlab, just shoot me a message!!
dissociation
this one is sweet, but i get embarrassed looking back at it. it was a group formed by me & and close friend bakeroo. it eventually grew into avalon, which was a sort of more nuanced version of dissociation, but was rather short-lived. anyways, at the time i was big into goth music, and bakeroo asked me if i wanted to make a song. obviously i said yes, and it was great so far... i showed him a song by this brilliant band called 'stolen babies' to inspire him, because we had agreed to do something sort of gothic pop-y. we spent all day inside, messaging each other back and forth and we found this weird janky website that we made the song on. at the time i was so proud of myself, and the instrumental was decent. though, it was the first song i had ever sung on, and i hadn't quite figured out what to do with my voice. as you can imagine, with the unmixed vocals it sounded a bit err... horrible. after that we never made another song. you can listen to the instrumental on my bandlab.
avalon
avalon was another collaboration between me and bakeroo. though, this time, instead of it being more focused on my music tastes like with dissociation, we focused more on what bakeroo was listening to at the time. it was quite cool actually, he made this pop album called pink diamond with all these cool synths and sound effects, so i suppose this project was more him in general, i just helped him out a little on a couple tracks. even though its a little cringey looking back, its sweet because i think it was the first time i truly saw him put himself out there as an artist. we also had some cool branding for the project, with trippy eyes and glitching visuals and stuff. we never got round to using it for anything other than an advert for the album, though.
runaway robloxians
okay so this ones a little difficult to explain, because its basically a joke. essentially, this is when me and bakeroo first started making music. we used to enjoy messing around with the google text-to-speech voices, chopping them up and making them sound funny. anyways, we made this song, called food. it was just odd, but i remember finding it really funny at the time and to be honest i still do. oh, and the reason behind the name... well, bakeroo showed me this rap group that used text-to-speech voices and roblox characters as their branding? it was such a funny concept and at the time we were bored, so we had to recreate it.
crizzle frizzle
the most recent thing i've worked on! one morning i woke up and bakeroo sent me this instrumental that he'd been working on. it had a sort of cowboy, midwestern feel to it. i love cowboys and i thought it was brilliant. he asked me if i'd like to write lyrics and sing over it. i feel like its a bit more fun and punky compared to my other stuff. its also another one we made in like 2 days, and even though some of the vocals could of done with being re-recorded, i kind of love how rough and untuned it is. straight after this i made a cover of deceptacon by le tigre. i know this technically isn't part of the collab, but i'd still class it as under the crizzle frizzle project as it was designed to go on the same EP as the cowboy song. though i ended up just including these on my album thing 'straight to the point'
clunk
unlike the other projects, clunk is a band, that im currently in. i consider it a separate entity to my electronic music, since we do a lot more live stuff. we're a 3 piece riot-grrrly band, and we dont have anything officially released yet [nor do we have a drummer] but i do have a few small recorded demos. its pretty nifty! i sing, play guitar and write the lyrics, alongside tallulah, who's always been very supportive of my work. i find lyric writing to be a very fun yet frustrating process, because it means focusing your mind on one thing (which i am terrible at). its also one of those things where the amount of effort doesn't equal the quality. sometimes i'll spend hours in an emotional state, trying to write something that expresses how i feel, only for the thing i thought of in 5 seconds on a random wednesday to sound better.
musical activities
i happen to go to a lot of concerts and places. point is, if you ever see me, do say hi! its lovely meeting people i recognize and i love engaging with fanbases as i find some of them will be the nicest and funniest people you'll ever meet.
